Wine Cellars

Vintage Makers will guide you through the process of designing and building your wine cellar.

The first step in providing protection for your investment is deciding on a what you need in your wine cellar. Questions to consider during the exploration phase include:

  • What is the size of your current collection?
  • What do you anticipate to be your purchase/consumption rate over the next five years?
  • What function do you want from your cellar; utility, an aesthetically designed room for tasting/dining, something in between?
  • How much space do you have to dedicate to your wine cellar?

Once the scope of your wine cellar has been determined, the design process begins. Questions to be answered during the design phase include:

  • Do you want to condition your wines (humidification and refrigeration)?
  • What type of interior surface treatments? tile, paint, wood paneling, lighting? How about a beautiful etched glass door from Vintage Makers?

Once the room is designed, it is time to decide on a storage system; individual bottle storage (champagne/burgundy and bordeaux), bulk storage (diamond bin and rectangular bin), full case storage, and decanting or tasting style tables.

We will gladly guide you through this process and design a room that meets your wine storage requirements and has your personal touch.
