About the California Wine Cellar
This Custom Wine Cellar was designed to hold 1,900 bottles. The racking is Phillippine Mahogany. This cellar has tongue and groove ceiling with paneled and detailed soffits to hide the typical ducting and mechanicals found in most basements. This unique cellar was designed with granite columns in the corners, a reclaimed French Chateau tile, granite countertops around the perimeter of the room and is conditioned by a ductless split system. The entryway is a Mahogany etched glass double door with self closing hinges. The custom features of this wine cellar include:
- A cascading wine rack between two decorated columns and ending at a granite decanting table
- A cigar "HumiDrawer" with electronic humidity control
- Under-lit display boxes above the countertop
- Double deep individual and base cabinets below the countertop
- A hanging stemware cabinet with a sandblasted Bacchus in the glass door
- An elegent hand painted mural in the arched top tasting table
All elements of this room, including the design, build out, wine racking, entryway and installation was done "in-house". The cooling unit was installed by Dom DiMambro. The lighting was installed by Robinson Electric. The mural was created by Pamela Creamer (www.creativeturtlestudio.com).
What the owner has to say
"We wanted our wine cellar and tasting room to be the center of our home for entertaining guests and storing our growing collection. With this in mind, Vintage listened carefully, designed and constructed a cellar that met our expectations. An enjoyable experience."
